The Warriors scored 119 points in the boys’ meet to race past second-place Williams High School (83), which was followed by Southern Alamance (54), Eastern Guilford (13) and Northeast Guilford (5). In the girls’ meet, Western Alamance outdistanced the field with 124 points followed by Williams (93), Northeast Guilford (34), Eastern Guilford (18) and Southern Alamance (17). Madeline Leupold of Western Alamance captured first place in the girls’ 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2 minutes, 32.87 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:07.25. Multiple winners in the boys’ meet were Sam Stafford of Western Alamance with victories in the 200 individual medley (2:35.00) and 100 breaststroke (1:13.37) and Chris Joyce of Southern Alamance in the 200 freestyle (2:02.89) and 500 freestyle (5:39.51. WilliamsHigh Schoolswept all three of the boys’ relays with Jack Wolverton, Travis Bolick, Jacob Brown and Alex Mebane teaming to win the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay and Carter Bowman joined Brown, Bolick and Mebane to take the 200 medley relay.
