Baseball: Deatherage Verbally Commits to UNC!!!

Brock Deatherage has verbally committed to play baseball for the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.

After waiting paitiently for the first collegiate offer to come in, WA's Brock Deatherage is now inundated with offers!   And its a good "problem" to have!

With baseball offers on the table from NC State, UNC-W, ECU, High Point, and UNC-CH, a lot of things had to be considered.  When all was said and done, Brock Deatherage decided to cast his lot with the Tar Heels to play baseball.  Deatherage made a verbal commitent to UNC head coach Mike Fox earlier this week.

However...  There are still decisions to be made.   Deatherage is also a standout football player and has performed exceptionally well at multiple football camps this summer.  So a football offer(s) could soon be on the table as well.  This being the case, the multi-talented Warrior will continue to be patient and see how things play out on the baseball diamond and the football gridiron.

The verbal commitment is non-binding.  Deatherage cannot officially sign his Letter-of-Intent (LOI) until his senior season.  So there's at least another year's worth of offers to analyze and consider.

But for the time being....
