At Elon, Jessica Griffin drove in 6 runs with a grand slam and a two-run homer leading the Lady Warriors offensively in the 10-0 win over the Lady Eagles from Eastern Alamance. Western picked up its 7th shut-out victory of the season, improving to 11-2 overall and 8-1 Mid State 3A. Tyler Miles pitched a complete game one-hitter for WA and recorded 6 srikeouts. Assisting with the Lady Warriors' offense was Merritt Wilkinson who went 3-3 scoring 2 runs and Christina Walker who added a triple and scored 2 runs in support. WA had a team total 9 hits and allowed only 1 error in the field.
