Home » Girls' Softball NewsWA Softball vs McMichael (3/20/12)March 21, 2012 By Theresa Bell of Western Alamance High SchoolAt Mayodan, the Western Alamance Lady Warriors captured a 10-0 victory in five innings against McMichael in a Mid-State 3-A softball matchup Tuesday afternoon to improve to 5-0 in conference play. Madison Bell drove in three runs with a bases clearing triple for the Warriors (6-1 overall). Jessica Griffin was 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a RBI. Kelsey Akers, Merritt Wilkinson and Tyler Miles added two hits apiece. Total of 11 WA team hits were collected. Griffin picked up the victory on the mound, stricking out six batters. Behind Griffin, the Lady Warriors defense was solid committing no errors in support of her shut-out effort. JV Score: McMichael 9, WA 0
