We're Goin' To The 'Ship!!!

WA built a comfortable cushion only to see it dwindle away in the final minutes.  But the Warriors came through when it counted and defeated the Eagles 57-52 in the semi-finals of the Mid-State 3A Conf Tourney.

AJ Clark was spectacular throughout the game pouring in 25 points to go along with 8 rebounds. 

Andre Saunders provided ample firepower (especially in the first half).

TJ Harris was a beast on the defensive boards. 

A special shoutout to Hunter Lent who really played well this evening (both on the offensive and defensive end of the court). 

And, finally, the unsung hero...  Nigel Carlton.  Nigel's hustle on a missed WA free throw ultimately led to the ball going out of bounds off an EA player (thus allowing WA to retain possession of the basketball with just a precious few ticks left on the clock).

WA advances to Friday evening's championship game (7:30pm tipoff) to face either Eastern Guilford or Northern Guilford who play on Wed evening.
