Vype Football Photo Shoot a Hit at Reliant Stadium

Over 100 of the area's top future stars descended on Reliant Stadium Wednesday for the 4th annual Vype High School Football Preview photo shoot. It appears that Houston is in good hands as most of the participants reported having several Division I offers.

The athletes mingled as several media outlets reported on the day's happenings.

"This shoot just keeps getting bigger every year and we appreciate the Houston Texans making Reliant Stadium available to us," editor-in-chief Matt Malatesta said. "We also want to thank all the media that came out as well as the athletes and their parents."

Several of the top area power houses such as Katy, The Woodlands, North Shore and Pearland were well represented, while Alief Taylor had the most college prospects on site. Verbal commits like Terry's Derrick Griffin (Texas A&M), Cy Woods' Deoundrei Davis (Texas) and Seven Lakes' Caleb Benenoch (Michigan State) were among the headliners. The hottest commodities were Sharpstown's Reggie Chevis, Alief Taylor's Torrodeney Prevot and Dulles' Maurice Smith also took part in the event.
