One of the more interesting 2012 preseason football teams are the Cy Falls Eagles, who celebrated a fantastic 10-2 season before losing to Lamar in the playoffs.
Returning for the Eagles and Coach Kirk Eaton are four big-time Division I players. Athlete Jacori Warrick will play receiver, defensive back and some Wildcat quarterback next year and is piling up the offers this spring.
LSU, Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas Tech, Utah, Northwestern and Clemson among others have offered the lightning-quick athlete.
"He is the best athlete that we've had at Cy Falls," Eaton said. "He's a great person, a great athlete and will be a big-time catch for someone."
Those are some impressive accolades being heaped on by his coach.
Joining Warrick will be 6-foot-3 receiver Temi Alaka, who is a big-play receiver with big-time grades.
"Temi is a long-strider so opponents can't really tell how fast he is until they seem him in person," Eaton said. "He's going to get some big offers come the spring."
Running back Brice Peters had over 1,100 yards a year ago and is explosive out of the backfield. He has legit size and is projected as a mid-major back.
On defense Jacobi Hunter, a 6-foot-1, 320-pound defensive tackle has been offered by Baylor already and will impress scouts with his athleticism during the spring.
Potentially the best defender on the field is Otaro Alaka, the sophomore brother of Temi Alaka, who started all season.
