Home » Football NewsTrinity Captures 6A Football TitleDecember 17, 2011 By Dave Spoelker of VYPE MAGAZINE - Greater LouisvilleWith their 62-21 victory over undefeated Scott County Friday night in Bowling Green, Ky the Trinity Shamrocks finished an undefeated season and captured their 21st State Championship. After falling behind early 7-0, the Shamrocks proceeded to accumulate over 600 yards of total offense, scoring touchdowns on 9 of 11 possessions. Quarterback Travis Wright was named MVP (4 TD passes). Defensive lineman Adam Berry received the Sportsmanship Award. Trinity is ranked as the number one high school team in the nation by many polls by virtue of their wins over top schools from Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.
