The Crimsons won the match 2-1. That game was followed by Sacred Heart and Assumption, won by the Valkyries also 2-1. Sacred Heart and Manual will decide the state championship at 7 pm Thursday evening at Bellarmine. The Kentucky Field Hockey State Tournament began Saturday as Manual overpowered Collegiate. Mercy followed with a win over Kentucky Country Day. Sacred Heart got the win over Ballard and Assumption over Presentation. The winners of those games will play at 7:15 on Monday.
