VYPE's Top Ten (Week of 2/4/13)

VYPE was excited to cover the Girl's Louisville Invitational Tournament, but after two rounds Mother Nature had other plans. Several great matchups for the girls were cancelled. Likewise, the guys had some anticipated games cancelled. Still, enough results to shake things up on the girls side!

GIRLS:

1. Ballard (despite a loss to CAL, Lady Bruins hold top spot)
2. Sacred Heart (Second crack at Assumption gave SHA a win and up two slots on the list)
3. Manual (27 point win over Bullitt East made a statement)
4. CAL (Big wins over Male and Ballard put a smile on Coach Rice’s face)
5. Bullitt East (Good win over Butler, lost to Manual in shortened LIT)
6. Butler (10 point loss to Bullitt East dropped them 4 spots)
7. Elizabethtown (Lost to Marion County by 30, beat Ft. Knox by 63)
8. North Hardin (Good win over John Hardin)
9. Assumption (LIT win over Central then a loss in rematch with SHA)
10. TIE: Mercy (Beat a hot Eastern team in only LIT game Jags got to play)             Eastern (Handled Panthers but not Jaguars in mini LIT)

BOYS:

1. Trinity (Huge week for the Rocks with 37 point win over PRP and 13 point win over Madison Central)
2. Ballard (Didn’t get to play some scheduled great match ups… darn!)
3. Jeffersonville, IN (Handled Reitz with ease and now at 14-2)
4. Bullitt East (20-4 makes a good argument to make Chargers #2 or #3)
5. John Hardin (9 in a row… and counting)
6. Central (Coach Bibby & company sitting pretty)
7. Moore (17-6 and a force to be reckoned with)
8. Male (Big game with St. X was cancelled by weather)
9. Fairdale (Predicting a big week for the Bulldogs)
10. TIE: South Oldham (Welcome Dragons to our list! At 15-5 you earned it)        Borden, IN (Beat Orleans 37-36 but dropped a spot)                          Clarksville, IN (Holding serve and a spot in our top ten)
