China Dow Celebrates All American Nomination with 2000th Point

The list of nominees for the McDonald's All Americn® Games was released yesterday, and included China Dow of Christian Academy of Louisville.

Dow punctuated that announcement by being the first CAL player to reach the 2000-point mark in the Lady Centurions' 59-50 win over Sacred Heart. Dow scored 33 points in the game and had 15 rebounds.

Among the seniors nominated for the 2013 McDonals's All American® Games are 10 boys and 5 girls from Kentucky schools, including VYPE area players Rusty Troutman and Derek Willis of Bullitt East, Darryl Hicks of Trinity, Lavonne Holland of Ballard, and Dow.

The McDonald's All Amercian list, released yesterday, includes more than 800 players who were nominated by high school coaches, athletic directors, principals and members of the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee. The final roster of 24 boys and 24 girls selected to play in the games will be announced February 14 at 5:00 pm on ESPNU.

The 36th Annual Boys Game will tip off on Wednesday, April 3 at 9:30 p.m. CT at Chicago’s United Center and will be broadcast on ESPN. The girls' game tips off at 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
