Sam Swope Queen of the Bluegrass Holiday Classic Crowns Winner

In a three overtime thriller, Butler defeated Ballard 74-70 to capture the inaugural Sam Swope Queen of the Bluegrass Tournament held at Manual High School.
Butler's journey to the finals came via wins over Ryle, University Heights and an upset win over defending state champion Manual (59-53). Ballard had wins over Seneca, Dunbar and Woodford County before falling in the finals.
The third place game went to the Lady Crimsons of Manual as they defeated Woodford County 59-40.
Aareon Smith of Butler was named the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament.
