Home » Boys' Soccer NewsUS Youth Soccer Region II Championships Begin SaturdayJune 21, 2012 By Betty Coffman of VYPE MAGAZINE - Greater LouisvilleNine local teams are among best of the Midwest soccer clubs headed to Saginaw, Michigan this weekend to compete in the Region II Championships. In the boys' tournament, United 1996 FC 95 International will play in U17, United 1996 FC 96 Interantional plays in U16 and Javanon 98 Black plays in U14, Mockingbird 99 Premier will be in the U13 division and United 1996 FC 93 International is in the U19 division. In the girls' tournament, Mockingbird 94 Premier plays in the U18 division and Mockingbird 93 Premier is in U19. Javanon 95 Black will compete in the U17 division, and Javanon 97 Black will be in U15. Pool play begins Saturday and runs through Monday. Semi-finals are Tuesday and the championship games will be held on Wednesday. The winners of U14 and above will advance to the USYS National Championships July 25-27 in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
