Junior Basketball All Stars Selected

VYPE area schools have a strong representation on the boys and girls Junior All Star teams selected to scrimmage our senior teams in preparation for their games against rival Indiana. Scrimmages will be held in Lexington on June 4th and in Louisville on June 6th.

Amoung those selected to play for the Kentucky Junior Boys squad are Derek Willis, Rusty Troutman & Trey Rakes (Bullitt East); Darryl Hicks (Trinity); LaVonne Holland (Ballard); Stuart Jackson (Central); Brock Kiesler (St. X) and Demetrius McReynolds (Butler)

For the girls, China Dow (CAL); Tearra Banks (Ballard); Whitney Hartlage (Mercy) and Aareon Smith (Butler).

In all, 18 players were selected (per team). That number will reduce to a squad of 12 for the Junior Team matchups against their Indiana counterparts.  Those games will be held June 15th in Indianapolis and on June 16th at North Oldham High School.
