Charles Foster led the Shamrocks with 18 points. Darryl Hicks and Troy Saxton both scored 13, Nathan Dieudonne 12 and James Quick tallied 10. Dieudonne, who added a game-high 12 rebounds, was named the tournament’s MVP and is also a finalist for Mr. Basketball in Kentucky. Trinity finished 35-3 on the season. Their Sweet 16 path included wins over Bullitt East by 20, George Rodgers Clark by 23, Southwestern by 9 and Scott County by 18 points. The win marked the first time in KHSAA history a school won the state title in both basketball and football in the same year. Ironically, Trinity defeated Scott County back in December for the 6A Football crown. Game photos will be available shortly.
