VYPE DFW area players named Parade All-Americans

Five high school football players from the VYPE DFW area have been named to the annual Parade All-America Team to be announced Thursday.

Prestonwood Chrisitan linebacker Mike Mitchell, Jesuit wide receiver Jake Oliver and Lake Highlands offensive lineman Kent Perkins were selected to the 26-player roster. All three players were recently named to All-VYPE DFW football teams. Oliver was named Greater Dallas Offensive Player of the Year.

Southlake Carroll quarterback Kenny Hill and Colleyville Heritage quarterback Cody Thomas were named honorable mentions. Hill was recently selected Greater Fort Worth All-VYPE Most Valuable Player. Thomas was named that All-VYPE team's Offensive Player of the Year.

The team will be appear in print form in Sunday’s Parade magazine inserted into The Dallas Morning News.
