Report: UIL reviewing Arlington Bowie playoff eligibility

After dominating Coppell, 42-14, DeSoto may have to prepare for two different opponents in the next round of the UIL 5A Div. I Region I football playoffs. El Paso Times reporter Evan Mohl reported via Twitter that the UIL has instructed El Paso ISD athletic director Ken Owen that El Paso Franklin should continue practicing, despite losing, 31-14, to Arlington Bowie in Midland on Friday.

Mohl believed that a UIL meeting on Monday will review a waiver and eligibility of a Bowie player

Bowie was scheduled to play DeSoto next Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bedford's Pennington Stadium.
