Home » Football NewsWest Mesquite S Kameron Miles commits to Texas A&MNovember 15, 2012 By Tim Polzer of VYPE MAGAZINE - DFWWest Mesquite safety Kamero, has switched his commitment to Texas A&M. Miles, No. 11 on VYPEDFW’s Top 100 2013 area football recruits, has been one of the nation’s most sought-after safety recruits for two seasons. He decommitted from Tennessee and quickly announced his commitment to A&M Wednesday night. He reported receiving offer from the Aggies 10 days ago. David McNabb’s VYPEDFW.com feature on Miles connected the dots on the safety’s desire to pattern his game after Alabama’s Mark Barron and relationship with Tennessee defensive coordinator Sal Sunseri and safeties coach Josh Conklin. The disappointing performance of the Vols’ defense in 2012 has left the future of head coach Derek Dooley, as well as, Sunseri and Conklin, in doubt beyond this season. Speculation that Miles would decommit from Tennessee and commit to the Aggies had been growing during the season. At 6-2, 200 pounds, Miles was considered also considered as a potential safety/linebacker hybrid. Miles has been selected to play in the 2013 Army All-American game to be played Jan. 5, 2013 in San Antonio's Alamodome and televised on NBC.
