Home » Football NewsReveal: VYPE 2012 Football Preview CoversAugust 24, 2012 By Tim Polzer of VYPE MAGAZINE - DFWGame Changer. Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary has added the noun to its 2012 online dictionary. We’ve adapted the term to our VYPE High School Sports Magazine football preview because it’s definitely a Game Changer for us. More than 1,000 players. More than 200 teams in 37 districts. More than 24,000 words. More than double our usual amount of pages. Those are just some of the BIG numbers that have been crunched into this year’s special double-issue Game Changers football preview – the nation’s only FREE high school football preview magazine featuring North Texas area teams. For this year’s preview purposes, we’ve adopted Game Changers as a superhero theme to portray the 200 players that are not only impacting the games, but the trends that are changing the game in 2012 and the future. This includes photos of Allen’s amazing new stadium and a look inside its cutting-edge marketing program. We’re also unveiling our annual preseason VYPE DFW Power Team, as well as, preseason Power Rankings in Classes 5A, 4A, 3A & 2A, and Private School divisions. As a bonus, we’ve crammed analysis of more than 200 teams into our VYPE DFW computer to predict first-round playoff matchups and eventual state champions. If our predictions come true, there will be more than one VYPE DFW area team crowned state champion. This Game Changers double-issue was a team effort. Thanks to photographer Keith Owens for his help shooting our distinctive Staff and Readers’ Choice covers. Kudos to creative director Krystal Neuhofel who took our superhero theme to the next level by creating Game Changers logos and icons for this special issue. Many thanks to project manager Laura Sanders, sales account representative Jamie Watson and publisher J.D. Sanders for the long hours of detailed work that went into this project. Just because we’re done publishing this Game Changers preview doesn’t mean there’s time to rest. Our intrepid staff is moving on to publishing our special Volleyball Issue spotlighting the area’s top players in September. When you’ve finished perusing the pages of our football preview, make sure you check out VYPEDFW.com for daily high school sports news and photos including football and volleyball coverage.
