(see IHigh.com's "2011-2012 Top 100 Websites") FootballScoop.com topped the rankings with almost 11 million visits*. VYPE Collin County was second with 4.5 million visits. VYPE Dallas ranked fifth with 2.9 million visits and VYPE Greater Fort Worth was eighth with 2.7 million visits. "Recognizing the hyper-local nature of high school sports, we developed several geo-targeted micro-sites under the VYPE DFW banner, enabling our team to recognize and celebrate as many student-athletes as possible" VYPE publsiher JD Sanders said. Including VYPEDFW.com and VYPE Denton, total visits for sports news websites published and managed by VYPE DFW eclipse 12.5 million. Based on the data provided by iHigh.com, *the combined total of VYPE DFW's top 5 sites of over 12.5 million seems to indicate it's the top visited site in iHigh's stable, nudging out FootballScoop.com by over 1 million visits, and iHigh's number one high school site -- Hoover High School of Alabama - by appoximatley 5.5 million visits. iHigh recently received $11.7 million in funding from Cox Media Group which is slated to fuel the company's product development and corporate expansion as demand for iHigh's digital television platform and online network continues to grow throughout U.S. markets. In making this investment, Cox Media Group acquired a strong minority interest in the company, currently valued at nearly $60M.
