Gustafson maintained a family legacy in becoming the 13th verbal commitment to Texas A&M’s recruiting class of 2013. Gustafson committed Tuesday morning after visiting last week. His parents and grandfather went to A&M. Gustafson has been going to Aggies games at Kyle Field since before he started school. His dad Jeff graduated in 1987 and his mom Maureen in 1989. Gustafson (6-6, 250) has been on recruiting radars for two years, just as his Jesuit teammate Jake Oliver has been Oliver committed to Texas last week. Jesuit has the strongest senior class in his history in terms of major college players. Class of ’13 linebacker Jordan Mastrogiovanni (6-2, 225) also is being recruited by A&M, Baylor and many other top programs. Gustafson also had offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Clemson, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Southern Methodist, Stanford and Texas Tech.
