Texas A&M received a commitment from Bishop Dunne lineman Ishmael Wilson on Saturday afternoon during a Junior Day event according to multiple reports on recruiting sites. It marks the second of A&M's seven commitments for the Class of 2013 and part of an effort from newly hired football coach Kevin Sumlin and his assistant David Beaty, who coached at Garland, North Dallas and Irving MacArthur before beginning his coaching career. A&M is hoping its inaugural season in the SEC will help boost its recruiting successes with the opportunity to play in what is the generally accepted No. 1 conference with six consecutive national titles from schools within the SEC.

Last week, A&M received a commitment from Skyline defensive tackle Kenneth Huggins (6-4, 285). A&M also capped its 2012 Class with Sumlin and Beaty combining to get standout receiver Thomas Johnson, who had been an early commit to Texas.

For the 2013 recruiting class, Wilson (6-5, 280) is being considered by Texas and has been invited to the Longhorns' second Junior Day next week. Wilson hadn't received a formal Texas offer but the Longhorns are looking for numerous linemen. Wilson was born in Alabama and lived in New Orleans until moving to Dallas when he was 10-years-old. Wilson was being heavily recruited by LSU, Oklahoma and Oklahloma State as well as the Longhorns.
