FM Marcus wins fourth-straight UIL marching band contest

Marcus High School won its fourth-straight UIL 5A state marching contest Tuesday in San Antonio. Marcus previously won state titles in 2006, 2008 and 2010. UIL marching contests are held every two years by classification.

Two other North Texas area schools, Hebron (2nd) and Coppell (5th), placed in the top 10.

Hurst LD Bell and Richardson Berkner also qualified for the finals.

Marcus performed "Gilded Melodies," featuring compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach.
