VYPE TV to live stream 72nd Annual Coca-Cola DISD Classic Finals

VYPEDFW.com will present live broadcasts of all six championship games of this year’s Coca-Cola Dallas ISD Classic basketball tournament.

The 72nd annual tournament includes one of the state’s most impressive rosters including boys and girls teams ranked among the state’s top 25 teams in 5A, 4A and 3A TABC polls.

(All Thursday Games)

Boys Championship, 7:30 p.m.

Boys Third-Place Game, 4:30 p.m.

Boys Consolation Championship, 1:30 p.m.

Girls Championship, 6 p.m.

Girls Consolation Championship, 12:00 p.m.

Girls Third–Place Game, 3:00 p.m.

 

Boys Teams and Players to Watch

South Grand Prairie – UTEP commit Chris Washburn leads the No. 4 state-ranked Warriors who are also nation ranked in the ESPN FAB 50 poll.

Kimball – the defending 4A state champions are out to defend their DISD tournament title with transfer Keith Frazier, one of the state’s highest recruited juniors.

Woodrow Wilson – The Wildcats entered the tournament ranked No. 4 in the state

Hillcrest – One of the DISD’s highest ranked programs.

Wilmer-Hutchins – Micah Cooper and Devonse Reed are among those who played for A. Maceo Smith in last season’s state semifinals.

Garland Lakeview Centennial – New coach J.T. Locklear has last season’s 5A state runner-ups playing hard.

Skyline – Devante Kincade, fresh off leading Skyline to state football semifinals, is a key to the Raiders’ efforts.

South Oak Cliff – Point guard Christopher Hyder leads the Golden Bears

Richardson Pearce – Corey Coleman, a Baylor football commit, is one of the area’s top basketball players, too.

 

Girls Teams and Players to Watch

Skyline – Coach Cassandra McCurdy regularly produces DISD’s best 5A team.

Lincoln – DISD’s perennial 4A power was state semifinalist last season.

West Mesquite – Sha’Georgia Williams and Claudia Price headline.

Mesquite Poteet – Kiera Waters is an offensive catalyst for defending 15-4A champs.

Sachse – Up-and-coming 5A team is off to impressive start.

Richardson – Senior forward Farrin Bell is one of the area’s best scorers.
