Several All-VYPE girls basketball players and a coach led their teams to state hoops championships this season, including Irving MacArthur and Argyle Liberty Christian.

Alexis Jones

Irving MacArthur

Jr.  Point Guard

Jones was dominant in the regular season – averaging 21.1 points, 9.1 rebounds and 6.6 assists – and upped her game in the playoffs scoring 25 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out 14 assists in the 5A state final.

 

 

NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR

Hannah Hughes

Hughes had a breakout season averaging 14.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.7 steals.

 

COACH OF THE YEAR

Suzie Oelschlegel

Irving MacArthur

Oelschlegel coached MacArthur to a 37-2 record including the school’s first state champioship.
