Realignment has these two teams playing in a game that could determine a district title.

Quarterback play will have an impact on whether or not West Mesquite breaks the streak. West Mesquite quarterback Chason Virgil is a top-10 4A passer, completing 88 of 150 for 1,213 yards and 10 touchdowns. Highland Park quarterback Jet Tuma has combined for more than 1,000 dual-purpose yards and 15 touchdowns including eight inside the red zone.

Highland Park running back Hank Howard is also a sure thing near the goal line, having scored 10 TDs.
