Deion told Smith that he'll have a "hands-on" role with the school's athletic programs and a hand in their daily operation. Head coaching duties will be shared by former Dallas Cowboys Mike Hegamin and Kevin Mathis. information on Prime Prep's coaches and program was sketchy at best when state high school football preview magazines hit the stands. Prime Prep will compete in the UIL's District 11-3A in the upcoming 2012-2013 school year. Prime Prep's launch as a charter school capable of accepting student-athletes from the Greater Dallas area has concerned many head coaches at public schools who are limited by smaller attendances zones. Word of a possible reality show centered on Prime Prep's athletic teams has also intrigued area high school football fans.
