Lankford coached Boyd's girls soccer teams to the 5A state title this season, as well as, the 4A state title in 2008. He also coached McKinney North to a state title in 2006. The Lady Broncos finished the season ranked No. 2 in the nation by ESPN Rise magazine after clinching their fifth-straight district title. Lankford is reportedly becoming athletic director and boys soccer head coach at a high school in Colorado.
