McKinney Boyd Drumline to Host Annual Drum-a-Thon

Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 6:00am – 12:00 midnight, percussion members of the McKinney Boyd Bronco Band will make music as part of an annual teambuilding and fundraising event known as Drum-a-Thon.  Enjoy the sounds of marimbas, tenors, bass drums, snares, cymbals, and more as percussion members play for 18 straight hours at McKinney Boyd High School located at 600 N. Lake Forest Drive, McKinney, TX 75071.  Don’t miss this exciting event for a very worthy cause!   No admission is required, but donations are welcome and encouraged!  Pledges will be taken, and any patron who donates $100 or more will be listed on this year’s Drumline shirt, which not only will be worn by our percussionists, but also by friends of the band and MBHS students.  A Drum-a-Thon kick-off event will be held on Friday, August 10 from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on the Square in downtown McKinney.  Donations will be taken at this venue as well.  Please contact Derek Stoughton for more information regarding this event at: dstoughton@mckinneyisd.net
