Plano’s returning starting quarterback Richard Lagow told ESPN recruiting analyst Damon Sayles that he took spring break visits to Arkansas and Oklahoma State last week.
“Both trips were a lot of fun,” Lagow told ESPN. “They both told me the same thing. Based off film, they would offer me right now, but they want to see me in person first, so they are going to come down for my spring scrimmage and offer me then if I look the same as on film.”
Lagow (6-6, 220) was featured last spring at The Old Coach’s Camp at McKinney High School. He is considered a pro-style quarterback who completed 57 percent of his passes and threw for 1,646 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2011 as an All-District 8-5A selection. Lagow also was part of the Vype cover photo shoot before last season.
Lagow is being recruited by Arkansas. Paul Petrino has been his primary contact at Arkansas, while Todd Monken has been his contact at Oklahoma State. He’s attended a junior day at Arkansas and is expected to visit LSU later in the month. He also has received interest from schools such as Baylor, Oklahoma, Missouri and Colorado. ESPN reported he’s still looking to pick up his first offer.
