Just two days after signing, it has become a tradition for Texas coach Mack Brown to have a high-profile prospect set the tone for the next recruiting season. Among the recent No. 1 commitments for recent classes have been Brownwood receiver Jaxon Shipley and Lake Travis quarterback Garrett Gilbert. Raulerson (6-5, 250) is a nationally rated prospect who has been receiving formal offers from major college programs since he was a sophomore. Raulerson already has been actively recruited by many. He visited both Texas vs. Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl and Alabama at Florida last season. Rauelrson was one fo the few commitments to be invited to Texas two weeks ago with some of the top players in the Class of 2012 official visit. Raulerson met with UT players, got a Texas jersey and had a much-reported breakfast with Texas president Bill Powers and Longhorns coach Brown.
