Home » Football NewsWhat position will Deion Sanders Jr. play in college?March 30, 2011 VYPE MAGAZINE - 8-5ADeion Sanders Jr. was a productive quarterback for Flower Mound Marcus last season. Now he faces the challenge of reinventing himself at another position at the college level. The son of former Dallas Cowboys and 2011 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Deion Sanders has only reported an offer from Houston so far. Recruiting analysts vary on Sanders’ best college position. He has worked out at cornerback, though his size (5-7, 170) may cause some scouts to consider him better suited for offense. Rivals analyst Brian Perroni considered Sanders one of the top performers at last weekend’s Under Armour combine in Southlake. Sanders proved to be a dangerous playmaker running Marcus’ run-oriented offense, but he is not being looked at as a quarterback. His speed could be an asset as a receiver.
