7-5A All-District Football Team

Southlake Carroll re-emerged with its record-tying eighth state football title and the Dragons' undefeated season also resulted in several All-District honors selected in a vote of coaches. SLC senior receiver/defensive back Sabian Holmes, who had a critical touchdown catch and pass break-up in the end zone of Carroll’s 5A Division I state final win over Fort Bend Hightower, was named the Most Valuable Player.

Carroll junior quarterback Kenny Hill shared Offensive Co-MVP honors with Keller Fossil Ridge junior quarterback Sheldon Neuse. Denton Guyer senior defensive lineman Dan Kottman was the Defensive Player of the Year. Dragons sophomore kicker Drew Brown was named Special Teams Player of the Year while Dragons coach Hal Wasson and staff were honored as Coaches of the Year.
