VYPE National Top 25 High School Football Rankings: 10.22.12

For the first time all season, all 25 teams in VYPE’s weekly Top 25 high school football rankings won their games. No upsets. No knockouts. No new teams. The only movement up and down the rankings came as a result of Hoover’s (Ala.) less than impressive 14-0 win over a 2-6 Minor (Adamsville, Ala.) team.

TEAMS ON THE VERGE

North Shore (Galena Park, Texas)            7-0

The Mustangs have scored 56 or more points in five of seven games.

Dr. Phillips (Orlando, Fla.)            8-0

The Panthers have allowed eight or fewer points in four of eight games.

Kirkwood (St. Louis, Mo.)            8-0

The Pioneers enter the playoffs out to avenge last year’s state championship game loss.

Picayune (Miss.)            8-0

The Maroon Tide are on a roll, winning by an average score of 50-14 in the last four games.

Big Games of the Week

No. 1 Manatee (Bradenton, Fla.) hosts undefeated Palmetto (Fla.) Friday

No. 6 Trinity (Louisville, Ky.) ends the regular season Saturday at Moeller (Cincinnati, Ohio), a former Top 25 team.
