VYPE National Top 25 High School Football Rankings: 10.15.12

Four teams ranked in last week’s VYPE National Top 25 High School Football Rankings were knocked out of this week’s list, making room for four teams making their season debuts.

Out

No. 9 Byrnes (Duncan, SC) is out after losing to Gaffney (SC) 22-19. Gaffney entered the game with three losses.

No. 10 Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) was dropped following a 24-7 loss to Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.).

No. 14 Eden Prairie (Minn.) suffered its first loss of the season, 17-6 to Edina (Minn.).

No. 17 Carmel (Ind.) dropped out after losing to Ben Davis (Indianapolis, Ind.) 13-7.

New Teams

23. Steele (Cibolo, Texas)            6-0

24. St. Joseph Prep (Philadelphia, Pa.) 6-0

Sad Note

No. 17 Coppell (Texas) is mourning missing receiver Jacob Logan. Logan is believed to have drowned Sunday at a Texas lake. Logan was a three-year starter at Coppell and the Cowboys second-leading receiver with 10 catches for 241 yards and three touchdowns in six games.
