Hackworth Throws No-Hitter

The Vikings knew they needed just one run with Senior ace James Hackworth on the mound at Manchester on Monday.  Instead, Valley scored three off of a 6^th inning homerun by Senior Brody Andrews.  Jacob Ritchey walked and Hackworth tallied a hit before Andrews crushed the eventual game-winning shot.

Hackworth dominated the Manchester batters.  He struck out 17 of the 22 batters he faced, walking just one.  Hackworth’s stellar outing goes down as one of the all-time great performances at Valley.
