For fans wearing black and gold, the lengthy weather delay was worth the wait.
The Sullivan Eagles came out and dominated Union Friday night at Stierberger Stadium, 42-0.
Sullivan (3-0) came out after stormy weather delayed kickoff by over two hours. Sullivan marched right down the field on the opening drive, getting a nine-yard touchdown run by Justin Biermann with 9:33 to go in the first quarter. Jake Lochner’s kick made it 7-0.
After forcing Union to punt, Biermann broke loose on a 45-yard counter play for another touchdown with 6:10 to go in the first quarter. Lochner’s kick was blocked and Sullivan led 13-0.
