BB: Defense spurs Indians to two victories

Twin Lakes High SchoolThe Indians got the new year off to a roaring start by claiming victory in two games over the weekend. On Jan. 4,TwinLakesthrottled county rival Tri-County 55-42. They continued the strong play Jan. 5 when they downed Hoosier Conference foe Benton Central 62-42. The locals are now 6-4 on the year.
The Indians used a vise like defense in the middle quarters to pull away from Tri-County. Trailing 12-11 after one quarter,TwinLakesallowed the Cavaliers just 14 points over the next two periods to open a 38-26 cushion entering the final eight minutes. Cody DeBoy led the offensive charge with 14 points. Levi Pritts added 12 markers to the effort.
Defense again spurred the Indians against Benton Central. TL raced to a 10-2 lead after eight minutes and never looked back. Cameron Bennington led the way on this night with an 18 point performance. Zach Diener added 12 points in the victory.
