GBB: Rally falls short as Indians fall to LCC

Twin Lakes High SchoolLafayette Central Catholic overcame a furious Twin Lakes rally in the second half and downed the Indians 63-60 January 3 in Hoosier Conference action. The tough loss leaves the locals 9-5 on the year.
LCC (8-3) edged to a 13-10 lead after one quarter and then used a big second stanza to take a 32-23 lead at intermission. The Indians erased all of the advantage with a furious third quarter rally that saw them grab a 42-41 lead entering the final period. The homestanding Knights righted the ship enough to claim the win.
The loss spoiled a tremendously balanced Twin Lakes effort that saw three players reach double figures in scoring. Laurhen Pickett led the way with a 17 point performance. She also pulled down a game high 13 rebounds. Chloe McAchren added 14 points and Morgan Gutwein tossed in 12 markers.
