Home » Archives NewsKoerselman places 1 st in first race for the Trojans and leads to PHS Boys to a 6 th place showingMarch 10, 2011 Pleasantville High SchoolThe Pleasantville boys were led by junior Bryan Koerselman who placed 1 st with a time of 17:21 . Bryan had been running extremely well the last week of practice and carried it over to a first place finish in his first cross country race. Bryan was part of two relays in the spring that brought home state track titles for Pleasantville and has adjusted nicely to the cross country scene. Jacob Schletzbaum was 28 th at 19:21 , Dyllon Muniz was 33 rd at 19:51 , Zak Ellingson was 35 th at 20:01 , Joe George was 54 th at 21:34 , Michael Romanco was 58 th at 22:03 , Jared Brown was 29 th on JV at 22:03 , Jordan Harvey was 33 rd JV at 24:24 and Matt Fort placed 46 th on JV at 27:01. The boys improved from last year and adding Bryan to the mix has made the team stronger. The boys' numbers are up this year which will enable us to compete in the meets. This group will continue to improve and get better throughout the year and hope to be at their best for conference and districts. Centerville won the boys race with 41 points, Albia second with 45 points and Clarke took 3 rd place with 102 points. The Pleasantville team finished 6 th out of 9 full teams with 151 points. The teams' next action will be September 8 th at Lake Keomah in Oskaloosa.
