PLEASANT HILL, Ohio – Tri-Village won an Ohio Division IV sectional title on Thursday, knocking off Bethel 4-3 at Newton.

Tyler Cook tossed a complete game with four strikeouts, one walk and one earned run for the Patriots, while Justin Royer’s two-out, bases-loaded two-run single in the sixth inning brought in the winning score.

Royer was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Caleb Bowman was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

“Tyler Cook just pitched an outstanding ballgame,” said T-V coach Jim Maples.

“It’s a big thrill for us. We’ve had some tough, one-run losses this year.”

The Patriots (13-14) face Cincinnati Country Day today in a district championship at Miamisburg.
