Home » Men's Basketball NewsRally lifts Caps over JagsDecember 26, 2011 Tri-Nine Conference![]() RALEIGH - Athens Drive’s Dylan Haupt had 20 points at halftime. Haupt scored in a variety of ways, from driving to the basket to having jumps shots go off the backboard to knocking down 3-pointers in transition. His Jaguars were up by as many as 13 points against non-conference foe Broughton and led 38-29 at the break. But as has been a familiar tale with the Jags this year, Athens Drive ran out of gas. Broughton (6-4) held Haupt to two points in the second half, and that was a big reason why the Caps prevailed 69-55. The Caps started the third quarter in a full-court press, which made it difficult for Athens Drive’s guards to get the ball to Haupt. Broughton caught Athens Drive (4-7) with a 16-3 run in the third quarter. “I think we just started having fun,” Broughton’s Devonte Graham said. “Everything just came to us.” To read rest of story, click link here - Rally lifts Caps over Jags
