West ran for 113 yards and threw for 237 as Athens Drive won 29-21. West, who had just 10 carries in the game, scored two touchdowns by ground from 39 and 28 yards out. He also passed for an additional two touchdowns and completed 20 of his 25 throws with no interceptions. Coach speak Ryan Habich Fuquay-Varina head coach On clinching at least a share of the conference title: "For this group to win two straight conference championships says a lot about the hard work they've put in. After the way we lost to start the conference season, not a lot of people thought this group was going to be able to win the title this year - or even tie for it. I'm proud of this group."
