PC volleyball keeps hot streak going

October 7, 2011
Tri-Nine Conference

APEX - Bonnie O'Connor called her team's season "a roller coaster."

But luckily for the Panther Creek volleyball team, that roller coaster is on the upward swing as it nears the end of its season.

Through their first 11 games, the Catamounts were just 3-8. But thanks to a recent hot streak, which includes 3-0 wins against Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs -- two teams in which the Catamounts are jostling for playoff seeding -- Panther Creek is in position for postseason contention as well.

The Catamounts improved to 7-9 with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-15) defeat of Tri-Nine Conference foe Middle Creek on Tuesday.
