Nothing was wrong with the holiday basketball tournaments they were used to going to. It was just time for a change. Teams started the season in different tournaments around the area in search of new opponents and other advantages that come with switching things up. Only six area teams played in the same holiday tournament as last year, while 11 others made changes. Many teams went to tournaments that don’t typically host southwestern Wake schools.
