CARY - Panther Creek senior running back David Mayaka rushed for 108 yards and scored once, but the Catamounts were unable to stop the high-powered Lee County offense, falling 35-14 on their Friday night homecoming.

The Yellow Jackets (6-2, 4-1), who equaled their 35 points per game scoring average, gained 242 yards rushing.

Lee senior James Foushee scored four touchdowns and led all rushers with 121 yards, while quarterback Chase Arrington completed 12-of-18 passes for 141 yards. Arrington added 114 yards on the ground.

“We’ve got a lot of seniors and Chase has done a great job at quarterback,” said Lee County head coach Burton Cates. “He also has some guys around him who can make some plays.”

In addition to Foushee, senior wide receiver T.J. Lett caught four passes for 65 yards, including a 40-yard bomb that led to the Yellow Jackets’ third score.
