The Pride (24-1-1), champions of the Cap-8 Conference, claimed their second win of the season over the Cougars (13-7-1) after previously defeating the third-seeded Tri-Nine squad 2-0 in the regular season. But Leesville coach Paul Dinkenor said this match was much tougher for his team. “Apex was seriously ready to play,” Dinkenor said. “I don’t think it was one of our prettiest wins, but defensively we gutted it out.” “It was a highly competitive game from start to finish,” said Apex coach Kevin Todd. “The emotion on both sides showed that this was a game that was going to be settled in the last few minutes.” To read rest of story, click link below:
