The Falcons won again Wednesday afternoon on their home course at Prestonwood Country Club for their fourth first-place finish of the season. “We did a good job striking the ball today,” Green Hope coach Mike Robinson said. “It was wet. There were tough conditions, but everybody played on the same course. I was pleased with the kids who hadn’t played in a while and came through in the clutch. We know where to put the ball here and we know how the greens are, so it is an advantage playing at home.” In the overall standings, Holly Springs and Athens Drive are in second and third place, respectively, with one first-place finish apiece. Green Hope led the field with a team score of 142 on Wednesday, just two strokes better than Athens Drive, which has now taken second or better in three of its last four matches. Athens was led by Seth Meade’s medalist-winning score of 32. Garrett Simmons shot a 35, Kevin Campbell posted a 38 and Jeremy Keyes recorded a 40 for the Jaguars.
