Home » Women's Soccer NewsCary girls soccer dominates GarnerMarch 14, 2012 Tri-Nine ConferenceGARNER - If Garner girls soccer coach David Corsbie has his way, the Trojans will not be joining the ranks of the member schools of the current Tri-Nine Conference in any upcoming NCHSAA realignment proposal. Losses to Tri-Nine Conference schools Athens Drive and Fuquay-Varina opened up the Trojans’ season last week but it was their 3-0 defeat to Cary on Friday night at Trojan Stadium that was the toughest pill to swallow for Corsbie. The Imps’ Kelly Glendenning scored a pair of goals and Bria Johnson added another as the Imps gradually began to wear down a Trojan team that was playing one night after losing to Fuquay-Varina 5-3. As the Trojans were out shot 18-2 for the game, Corsbie voiced concern over the Trojans’ offense, of lack thereof. “Our midfield was nonexistent tonight,” said Corsbie. “We were giving up possession easily.
