Home » Men's Tennis NewsExperience may hold key in boys tennisFebruary 29, 2012 Tri-Nine ConferenceApex and Green Hope tied for first place in the Tri-Nine boys tennis standings last year, and continued to match one another the rest of the year. Both teams finished 16-3 overall and lost in the third round of the 4A playoffs. If there was a difference between the two last year, it was their lineups. Most of Apex's top players have graduated, but Green Hope returns five of its six starters. The Falcons return Tri-Nine doubles champions Matt Hammond and Kyle Burns - both juniors - as well as junior Mark Wickelgren, senior Stevie Wang, junior Michael Neighbors and senior Ken Fan.
